• American = a good time, Irish = craic
• American = what's up?, Irish = what's the craic?
• American = that was so much fun!, Irish = that was deadly craic!
• American = freeway, Irish = motorway
• American = thanks, Irish = cheers
• American = a lot, Irish = loads
• American = garbage can, Irish = the bin
